{"id":6458,"date":"2022-10-07T08:50:44","date_gmt":"2022-10-07T08:50:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/redagenda2030.es\/noticia\/the-network-highlights-that-the-business-sector-and-its-driving-capacity-are-vital-to-making-the-2030-agenda-a-reality-at-cedaes-5th-congress\/"},"modified":"2022-10-07T08:50:44","modified_gmt":"2022-10-07T08:50:44","slug":"the-network-highlights-that-the-business-sector-and-its-driving-capacity-are-vital-to-making-the-2030-agenda-a-reality-at-cedaes-5th-congress","status":"publish","type":"noticia","link":"https:\/\/redagenda2030.es\/en\/noticia\/the-network-highlights-that-the-business-sector-and-its-driving-capacity-are-vital-to-making-the-2030-agenda-a-reality-at-cedaes-5th-congress\/","title":{"rendered":"The Network highlights that the business sector and its driving capacity are vital to making the 2030 Agenda a reality at CEDAES\u2019 5th Congress."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Amparo Torres, member of the Network of Local Entities for the 2030 Agenda, took part in the 5th Congress of the Spanish Confederation of Business Areas.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Amparo Torres, member of the Network of Local Entities for the 2030 Agenda and Second Vice-President of the Provincial Council of Albacete, delivered this Thursday the first of the presentations at the 5th National Congress of Business Areas, held by the Spanish Confederation of Business Areas (CEDAES) on 6 and 7 October in Ag\u00fcimes, Gran Canaria.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As a representative of the Governing Council of the Network of Local Entities for the 2030 Agenda of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces, Torres addressed the essential process of implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda in the country\u2019s more than 6,000 business areas, highlighting \u201cthe great challenge of making progress in meeting the SDGs in this \u2018decade of action\u2019\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Torres also stressed that the industrial sector and its driving capacity \u201care vital to making the 2030 Agenda a reality\u201d, underscoring the potential of the Network as the FEMP\u2019s interlocutor instrument to join forces towards that goal, through its direct work to energise Local Entities across the country, fully aware of the essential role of businesses and industrial areas in Spain\u2019s municipalities and provinces. Areas which, in Torres\u2019 words, \u201care, on many occasions, just another neighbourhood of the towns\u201d and which, as such, must be taken into account and managed. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In this regard, Torres explained how the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan aims not only to restore the Spanish economy from the effects of the pandemic, but also to relaunch it with ambitious modernisation objectives to place it in an optimal position to face the challenges of the future, in line with the 2030 Agenda.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cA more developed industrial sector boosts economic activity and can be an important social and territorial backbone,\u201d she stated in her speech, pointing to the need to move towards the goal of overcoming the inefficiencies of an excessively concentrated and dependent economic system, and underlining how important it will be to \u201cincreasingly involve industrial activity\u201d in the essential collaboration between Public Administration and the private sector to achieve the SDGs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CEDAES is a collaborating partner of the Network, in our aim to promote the implementation of the 2030 Agenda with the involvement of society\u2019s stakeholders.
