It is a very comprehensive, dynamic, intuitive, and interactive virtual space that includes information on Agenda 21, sustainability indicators, carbon footprint, 2030 Agenda, and data relating to each municipality in each of these areas, as well as their Local Action Plans and the level of compliance with their sustainability commitments. <\/p>\n<p>Ultimately, it is about presenting an analysis and diagnosis of the economic, environmental, and social situation in our province.<\/p>\n<p>To access it: <a href=\"https:\/\/observatoriosostenibilidad.dipualba.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/observatoriosostenibilidad.dipualba.es\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"tit\">Project Classification<\/p>\n<p>Awareness-raising\/outreach actions on the 2030 Agenda among citizens.<\/p>\n<p>SDG 4. Partnerships for the Goals. <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #00317e; font-family: geomanist-medium, sans-serif; font-size: 1.65rem;\">Timeline<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Ongoing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"tit\">Self-Assessment Section<\/p>\n<p><strong>PLANNING What were the objectives set for the project?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To present a platform open to all citizens, with special interest for Town Councils and local entities, with relevant information about their municipality in terms of sustainability, with the ultimate goal of raising awareness and involving the entire population in achieving the SDGs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>IMPACT What are the positive impacts of the project?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The website has been recently launched, so there are no project results yet.<\/p>\n<p><strong>INNOVATION What are the most innovative aspects? What challenge\/problem is being addressed? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The main innovation is the digitization of sustainability indicators, annual sustainability reports, etc., developed by OPSA. In addition, interactive maps and graphs related to these issues and the carbon footprint of each municipality are included, so that anyone who wants to access this data can do so easily and intuitively. Training and raising awareness among the general population is essential in developing the 2030 Agenda and achieving the SDGs.  <\/p>\n<p><strong>METHODOLOGY What methodology was followed for its implementation?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The methodology used to develop the Sustainability Indicators panel is based on 25 local sustainability indicators (LSI) agreed upon by the corresponding members of OPSA: the Provincial Council of Albacete, the University of Castilla-La Mancha, and representatives of the participating Town Councils. The complete indicator system is divided into:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Local sustainability indicators, which may be original from the Network of Sustainable Cities and Towns of CLM, sometimes with slight modifications; or new municipal indicators, whose information on selection, development, and analysis is presented in each one. For example: Population growth rate, Municipal Services Ratio, Unemployment rate&#8230; <\/li>\n<li>Standby or complementary indicators.<\/li>\n<li>Temporary indicators.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Of the 25 sustainability indicators contained in the report, six are calculated with data provided by the municipalities at OPSA&#8217;s request at the beginning of the year. The rest (19) are obtained directly by the Observatory from public sources consulted by the research teams. <\/p>\n<p>The municipal information compiled and provided by OPSA for each municipality consists of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Technical Sheet for each indicator. With a basic but sufficient description for understanding. <\/li>\n<li>Link to the OPSA website, with complete information on the municipalities.<\/li>\n<li>Population range at provincial and regional level for each indicator.<\/li>\n<li>Results from the last four years and average for the entire period for each indicator.<\/li>\n<li>Map or graph of the last year&#8217;s result compared to its municipal group (rural, semi-urban, urban) for each indicator.<\/li>\n<li>Analysis of current status and evolution, based on the average of the group of municipalities to which it belongs (urban, semi-urban, or rural).<\/li>\n<li>Comments by UCLM professors for each block of indicators, for a general analysis and more complete result.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>CONDITIONING FACTORS What conditions must be met for the project to be successfully replicated (in a similar context)?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is necessary to have an excellent database of the different municipalities, as well as maintain ongoing communication with them, allowing their participation in the analysis process. Likewise, the specialization in different areas of UCLM Researchers is an essential factor when conducting analysis from the different areas affecting sustainability (environmental, economic, and social). Active participation by the involved Town Councils is also essential.  <\/p>\n<p><strong>REPLICATE\/SCALE\/TRANSFER What elements must be considered for the project to be replicated in another Local Entity? What resources are needed? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Human resources: UCLM research team.<\/p>\n<p>Provincial Council Environment Technician.<\/p>\n<p>IT Technician.<\/p>\n<p>Town Councils.<\/p>\n<p>Technical resources: Virtual space for website hosting.<\/p>\n<p>Coordination with the Provincial Council IT team.<\/p>\n<p>Economic resources: Provincial Council-UCLM Agreement.<\/p>\n<p><strong>STAKEHOLDER INVOLVEMENT What local stakeholders have been involved in the project (citizens, third sector organizations, private sector, academic sector, etc.)? How was this involvement achieved? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For the launch of the website, both the academic sector (UCLM) and the political level at the Provincial Council (technicians) have been mobilized. The ultimate goal is to achieve greater citizen involvement. <\/p>\n<p><strong>INTERNAL COORDINATION How was the project coordinated internally within the Local Entity?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The research team, after compiling and preparing the corresponding data, was in direct contact with both the IT technician and the Provincial Council technician, thus creating an interdisciplinary work structure.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PARTNERSHIPS Have other institutions been involved in achieving the set objectives?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Town Councils.<\/p>\n<p><strong>RESULTS\/MEASUREMENT Have the project results been measured based on local indicators?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>No.<\/p>\n<p><strong>RELEVANCE<\/strong> <strong>What is the adequacy of the objectives and results? Is there coherence between the set objectives and the results obtained?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Since the ultimate goal is to raise awareness and involve the entire population in achieving the SDGs, we consider that the launch of this website fulfills that objective.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TRIPLE IMPACT: Is the project sustainable from an environmental, economic, and social perspective?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Yes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>OBSTACLES: What were the main obstacles encountered in all phases of the project?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>No.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CONCLUSION.
