The Official State Gazette (BOE) has published the extract of the Resolution of 7 July 2026 of the Ministry of Social Rights, Consumer Affairs and the 2030 Agenda, which announces grants for actions to advance the 2030 Agenda in Local Entities.

Purpose of the grants

This call, under a competitive selection procedure, aims to fund projects and initiatives that promote the implementation, alignment and localisation of the 2030 Agenda at local level.

This aid is framed within the provisions of Ministerial Order DSA/632/2022, of 23 June, which establishes the regulatory bases for the awarding of grants for actions to advance the 2030 Agenda in Local Entities.

The grants will be allocated to projects relating to:

– Preparation of implementation plans for the 2030 Agenda at local level.

– Projects for the adaptation of municipal strategic plans to the 2030 Agenda.

– Actions that respond to the priorities set out in the 2030 Agenda Implementation Plan and/or other existing strategic plans whose aim is to provide a territorial response aligned with the 2030 Agenda.

– 2030 Agenda awareness-raising and outreach projects aimed at local residents and/or the full range of different local stakeholders, including capacity-building.

– Initiatives that help implement the 2030 Agenda and make the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals a reality at local level.

Eligible entities

Local Entities set out in Law 7/1985, of 2 April, regulating the Bases of the Local Regime, may qualify as beneficiaries, including the municipality, province, island in the Balearic and Canary archipelagos, counties, metropolitan areas and associations of municipalities.

Applications may also be submitted by groups of Local Entities that meet the requirements set out in the call. See more information.

Budget and allocation

The maximum amount for this call is €5,977,299.28, which will be distributed across the following bands:

– €1,770,000 for projects submitted by local entities with a population of 5,000 inhabitants or fewer, or groups whose total population does not exceed 10,000 inhabitants.

– €2,950,000 for projects submitted by local entities with a population of more than 5,000 inhabitants and fewer than 100,000 inhabitants, or groups in which the total population does not exceed 150,000 inhabitants.

– €1,257,299.28 for projects submitted by entities or groups that do not fall within any of the previous bands.

The grants may cover projects with a minimum requested amount of €20,000 and a maximum of €250,000.

Deadline and submission of applications

The deadline for submitting applications starts on 10 July and ends on 10 August 2026. Applications must be submitted electronically.

– In the case of Local Entities, they must be submitted via the electronic headquarters of the Ministry of Social Rights, Consumer Affairs and the 2030 Agenda. Exceptionally, in the event of IT issues with the indicated application, documentation may be provided via the Common Electronic Register.

– In the case of groups of Local Entities, submission must be made via the Common Electronic Register.

Applications must be completed using the standard templates available on the Ministry’s website, and the documentation must be signed by the person holding the legal representation of the Local Entity, or by whoever has been assigned the authority to submit the application.

*The call establishes that each applicant entity or implementing entity within a group may only submit or participate in a single project. In addition, standardised projects prepared by external entities that do not clearly adapt to the needs of the territory will not be accepted.
