55 local entities receive a grant to drive the 2030 Agenda at the local level
The Ministry of Social Rights, Consumer Affairs and 2030 Agenda has published the Resolution of October 24, 2025, by which grants are awarded for actions to promote the 2030 Agenda in local entities, corresponding to this year’s call. The resolution has been published in the National Database of Subsidies (BDNS, code 835985) and on the Ministry’s website, via this link.
In total, the Ministry has allocated 6,600,000 euros to this call, within the framework of the regulatory bases established by Order DSA/632/2022. 609 projects were submitted, totaling more than 91 million euros requested, which demonstrates the growing commitment of local governments to the localization of the SDGs. Following the evaluation process, 55 projects have been subsidized, distributed into three tiers according to population and type of local entity.
Distribution of Subsidized Projects
The selected projects are grouped into three tiers:
- Tier 1: municipalities or groups of up to 5,000 inhabitants.
- Tier 2: municipalities or groups between 5,001 and 100,000 inhabitants.
- Tier 3: municipalities with more than 100,000 inhabitants, provincial councils, island councils, regional councils, commonwealths, and metropolitan areas.

A Boost to Local Action in Sustainability
The approved projects encompass initiatives for citizen participation, social innovation, governance, resilience, environmental protection, energy transition, sustainable tourism, and strategic planning aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals. The grant must be executed within one year of its publication in the BDNS, and entities may request, if necessary, modifications or extensions of deadlines within the limits established by regulations.
With the resolution of this call, the Ministry reinforces its commitment to supporting local entities in their fundamental role to accelerate the implementation of the 2030 Agenda from the territory.
