Conference “The 2030 Agenda in Local Government Action”
The Network of Local Entities for the 2030 Agenda will organize the conference “The 2030 Agenda in Local Government Action” on November 4 and 5.
Following the conference, the General Assembly of the Network will be held, where the work plan and its lines of action for the coming months will be approved.
Madrid, November 3, 2021.- On November 4 and 5, the FEMP Network of Local Entities for the 2030 Agenda will organize the conference “The 2030 Agenda in Local Government Action”. The event will begin at 10:15 with the opening session, which will include the participation of Daniel de la Rosa Villahoz, Mayor of Burgos; César Rico Ruíz, President of the Provincial Council of Burgos; José Hila Vargas, Mayor of Palma and President of the Network of Local Entities for the 2030 Agenda; Carlos Daniel Casares Díaz, Secretary General of FEMP; and Alejandro Blanco Bravo, President of the Spanish Olympic Committee. Additionally, the Secretary of State for the 2030 Agenda, Enrique Santiago Romero, will participate remotely.
During the conference on November 4, there will be panel discussions on “Keys to Advancing the 2030 Agenda from Municipalities and Provinces”; “Interinstitutional Coordination to Accelerate the Bottom-Up Implementation Process of the SDGs”; and “Opportunities of the 2030 Agenda as the Cornerstone of Local Policies”. The session on November 5 will feature a panel entitled “Necessary Actors in the Local Implementation of the 2030 Agenda” and, upon conclusion, the II General Assembly of the Network of Local Entities for the 2030 Agenda will be held.
