FEMP and the COE reaffirm their commitment to sustainability and to the 2030 Agenda in sport
During the 2nd COE Sustainability Congress, "The Race for the 2030 Agenda", held at the Committee’s headquarters, the Secretary General of FEMP highlighted the leadership of Local Governments in driving projects aimed at achieving the SDGs and stated that reaching those Goals will not be possible without City Councils because "everything goes through the local level". The event, held in Burgos on November 4 and 5, organized by the Burgos City Council and the Provincial Council, was attended by 230 representatives of Local Governments, who participated in this annual meeting whose objective is to establish the foundations for local action so that City Councils, Provincial Councils, Island Councils and Insular Councils can implement the Sustainable Development Goals in their action plans. Conference “The 2030 Agenda in Local Government Action”
On November 4 and 5, the FEMP Network of Local Entities for the 2030 Agenda will organize the conference 'The 2030 Agenda in Local Government Action'. The event will begin at 10:15 with the opening session, which will include the participation of Daniel de la Rosa Villahoz, Mayor of Burgos; César Rico Ruíz, President of the Provincial Council of Burgos; José Hila Vargas, Mayor of Palma and President of the Network of Local Entities for the 2030 Agenda; Carlos Daniel Casares Díaz, Secretary General of FEMP; and Alejandro Blanco Bravo, President of the Spanish Olympic Committee.
